UFL: Kaya, Pachanga Diliman look for wins against Pasargad, Air Force
Kaya FC looks to build some momentum with its new coach as it takes on Pasargad FC in United Football League action Thursday at the Emperador Stadium in Mckinley Hill in Taguig.
Kaya clashes with Pasargad at 7:30 p.m. after the match between Pachanga Diliman FC and Philippine Air Force at 5:15 p.m.
Playing for the first time with its new coach in David Perkovic, Kaya blanked Philippine Army, 3-0, last week to pump some life in its disappointing start in the season so far. After a runner-up finish in the League last season, Kaya slid down to fifth place after having a 2-2-2 win-draw-loss record for eight points.
Kaya will miss the services of stars Chris Greatwich and OJ Porteria, who were both called up for the national team.
Pasargad also targets to nail another win after barging into the win column recently. The squad finally notched its first triumph of the season after beating Green Archers United, 2-1, last week.
Meanwhile, Philippine Air Force hopes to finally snap its losing skid in its match against Pachanga in the first match.
Air Force came close from carving out a shocking result against defending champion Global last week, but collapsed late in the match and eventually yielded a 2-0 loss.
The military squad has lost all of its six matches so far and is currently submerged at the bottom of the League table.
Meanwhile, Pachanga, currently in sixth place with six points, hopes to score a win to overtake Kaya at the fifth spot.
AKTV will start the live coverage at 5 p.m.
