Another season has come to an end. It might have been another roller-coaster ride, but ultimately, it has been a fulfilling and unforgettable year, our 20th founding anniversary. The club made history when we participated and represented the Philippines in the 2016 AFC Cup for the first time. The year unfolded like a dream—Kaya became the first Philippine club to top a group in Asia and win two consecutive games at home—and the excitement, anticipation, and support from everyone, not just in the Philippines, overwhelmed us. It gave us the extra motivation that we needed as we carried on and reached another huge milestone. Our AFC Cup campaign ended after losing to defending AFC Cup champions Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT), but it truly united us beyond all measure even during the league, and this extends to all our fans, supporters, and sponsors, who have been with us throughout the entire season.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude for everyone’s support.

First, we would like to thank the club owners and sponsors—LBC, Yellow Cab, Jamba Juice, Warren & Brown, Isuzu, Gatorade, Fitness First, LGR, and Bootcamp—for believing in us and standing with us every step of way. Great things have been achieved with your support!

This year, we successfully launched the first-ever Yellow Cab Football Cup, and we hope it redefined and recaptured the enjoyment of hosting a football tournament. We have worked with Warren & Brown, who’s always been very supportive of our academy with fervor, donating balls and hosting tournaments. They have our same passion and objective. With the backing of our sponsors, together, we can truly cultivate and elevate football in the country.

Also this year, Isuzu worked with us to introduce and implement the season pass, a brilliant and generous idea and a testament to their zealousness to drive up attendance. A hundred fans and supporters got the chance to watch all our league games free of charge, and it was a gesture they greatly treasured and appreciated.

These are just some of the ways our sponsors have demonstrated their enthusiasm and dedication to the club and our fans. We appreciate all your efforts, and we always look forward to working with you.

Second, thank you to the academy parents and kids for watching our games. When we see you, we are inspired to be better role models on and off the pitch. The academy reflects our commitment to grassroots development, and knowing that you have faith in us means the world to us.

Third, we will not stop thanking the fans and supporters, especially Ultras Kaya, for your steadfast support. Victory or defeat, you were there, rooting for us. No other voice gives us more strength, courage, and motivation. We are so humbled by the love and support you have poured out at all our games. Even during our away games, you sent us encouragement. You have always walked with us on our journey, and we hope you will continue to cheer us on.

Last but not the least, thank you to the players, coaches, staff, and Marc Castro, our team doctor. On our journey this year, we didn’t just write our own history but also Philippine sports history. Together, we rose to the occasion; together, we also fell short. But that is what it means to be a team, doing things together. Even if we stumble on our journey, we always get up. We lift each other up and move forward. We have faced all kinds of challenges, disappointments, and setbacks, old and new, but we never give up, and we never give in. We fight back, we come back better, and we dream bigger. Thank you for never losing that driving force—the hunger, heart, and humility—and remember that you are our source of inspiration and motivation. Una Kaya!
