Nine Kaya Players Invited to PMNFT Training Camp
The Philippine Football Federation has recently announced the selection of nine Kaya FC-Iloilo players to participate in the Philippine Men’s National Football Team (PMNFT) training camp in Manila. This marks a pivotal moment for both the players and the club, signaling a new chapter in Philippine football.
Among the selected players are Marwin Angeles, Fitch Arboleda, Jovin Bedic, Marco Casambre, Mar Diano, Jarvey Gayoso, Jhan Melliza, Audie Menzi, and Mark Swainston. These players have showcased exceptional talent and dedication on the field, contributing to Kaya’s domestic success and earning recognition at the national level.
Newly-appointed PHI MNT head coach Tom Saintfiet and his staff have extended invitations to promising, local-based professional and collegiate players—tapping the reigning PFL and Copa Paulino Alcantara champions in the process, whose players are no strangers to international duty.
Marwin Angeles, Jhan Melliza, and Audie Menzi have recently received full call-ups to the national team, having been named to 2026 World Cup Qualifiers roster in November last year. Javier Gayoso and Marco Casambre also saw their numbers called for international friendlies, with the former scoring the winning goal during the 1-0 bout against Nepal last June.
Similarly, Jovin Bedic and Mar Diano last saw national team action in 2022 during a closed-door friendly with Timor Leste—in which the Barotac Nuevo-native shined with a brace in a 4-1 win. Mark Swainston last represented the country in 2021 with the U23 squad; while Fitch Arboleda last wore the men’s team colors back in 2018 during the Bangabandhu Cup.
As the players work hard to make their case for selection, Kaya FC-Iloilo would like to invite you to come support them during the open training session today, 4:00 PM at Rizal Memorial Stadium. Let’s rally behind our boys as they embark on this exciting opportunity, striving to represent both club and country with pride and determination.
