Kaya advances to the round of 16, faces Johor Darul Ta’zim

After drawing, 0–0, against New Radiant in the Maldives on May 10, Kaya has advanced to the 2016 AFC Cup round of 16. Another achievement to mark in club history! Kitchee finished and topped the group with 13 points, while Kaya finished with 10 points, making them the runner-up of Group F.

In the knockout stage on May 25, Kaya will play Johor Darul Ta’zim at Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The team has played in Hong Kong, Singapore, the Maldives, and in less than a week, they will go to Malaysia for the round of 16 match. A new page in club history is about to unfold, and we hope everyone will continue to support the team.

Kaya will face the defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday. A win would book them a place in the quarterfinals.
