THE OPPOSITION: Stallion Laguna

After a jam packed month, we cap off July with a trip to Biñan looking to remain unbeaten in seven matches. Kaya Makati enters the game with confidence riding high, on the back of five consecutive wins, and holding two victories over Sunday’s opposition — Stallion Laguna.

But this is a much different Stallion side now, one that has won three games on the bounce and with new weapons in their arsenal.

Form guide — STALLION LAGUNA: 3-4-7 (W-D-L)
LOSS — 3-0 vs Global Cebu, Javellana Sports Complex
DRAW — 1-1 vs Ilocos United, Quirino Stadium
WIN — 2-0 vs JPV Marikina, Rizal Memorial Stadium
WIN — 2-1 vs JPV Marikina, in Rizal Memorial Stadium
WIN — 1-0 vs Ilocos United, in Biñan Football Stadium

Danger men

Gabriele Mascazinni:
The new 22-year-old Swiss striker has scored twice since his arrival to Stallion, making him a new weapon to be taken into consideration. As a brand new addition, his skill set is still relatively unknown, and will be an interesting new dynamic against a familiar opponent.

Jess “Jhan-Jhan” Melliza:
The former Far Eastern University star, and Green Archers United player has been on a tear lately, scoring three goals in the last three games. His pace and quickness with the ball makes him a handful for any defense.

Previous meetings:
June 4 — 1-0 — University of Makati
Marwin Angeles fired in the solitary goal at the University of Makati

July 5 — 3-1 — Biñan Football Stadium
Jordan Mintah opened the scoring, and Miguel Tanton fired in two free-kicks.
